AXEL was founded in 1998. The company's main focus is software development for the industrial automation sector. The company is part of FICEP S.p.A. group, leader in innovative machine tools technology in Italy and Europe. However, our customer portfolio is not limited to the companies inside the group but includes many industrial hardware suppliers of the Italian market.

Software PC tools: AXEL develops and distributes a full set of Microsoft Windows software applications for the automation industry. Among these, it is worth mentioning LogicLab, an IEC61131-3 Integrated Development Environment (IDE), and PageLab, a Human-Machine Interface builder for embedded systems.
Other products support configuration, parametrization, and supervision of industrial automation systems (CNC, PLC, controllers, and so on...).

Software consultancy: AXEL provides software consultancy in the field of embedded software, supporting our customer (typically, a hardware supplier) in the development of real-time multi-tasking systems based on a wide range of micro-controllers, including Intel, Siemens, Motorola, and so on, taking responsibility of eventually all or part (communication stack, programming interface, operating system, and so on) of the software development effort. AXEL also provides expertise in porting Linux and real-time Linux distributions on embedded systems.
